20 Stereotypes Used In For Glory For Super Smash Bros for the Wii U and 3DS

I absolutely love Smash Bros for Wii U and 3DS, really think that the series keeps getting better and better. The online mode has improved dramatically, with For Glory mode being the main draw. The mode is very popular with many players trying to prove they are best. That being said, many players don’t really prove they are the best with skill, mostly by just choosing the safe bet or just stereotypical gameplay. I enjoyed For Glory, but after the same fight again and again, I actually stopped playing online because it just got very boring with just nothing but stereotypical matches. I’ll count down the stereotypes in For Glory to give you an idea.

20. Bowser Jr. Kart Dash, Mecha-Koopa and Abandon Ship Attack

Bowser Jr.’s side B is dashing at the opponent, his down B is dropping a Mecha-Koopa on the ground in which it will walk across the stage and his up B is Bowser Jr. launching himself out of his Kart in which the Kart will explode. If you’re hit by the explosion, the player will follow up by a neutral air. Just try not to get hit by the explosion cause it will cause a lot of damage and can KO.

19. Link Shooting Arrows

Link neutral B is him just shooting arrows. The player usually hangs out at the edge of the stage and shoots arrows. On occasion, he sometimes throws a bomb or boomerang, but mostly it’s him shooting arrows. Even in sudden death they do this and when it hits, you’re KO’d. Block and if you have a fighter that can reflect, reflect it or jump, the player will most likely try to shoot again so punish and you’ll be fine.

18. Pac-Man Throwing Down A Fire Hydrant

When Pac-Man is above you in the air, most likely he’s gonna throw down a fire hydrant on you. When he throws down the fire hydrant on you and it hits, the next move is usually him hitting the hydrant at you. Rinse and repeat. Reflect or just dodge, when he is in the air, try to juggle him.

17. Wario’s Bike

Wario’s side B is him getting on his bike and riding it on the stage. The player usually just rides the bike to one edge to the other and when he is done, he gets off of it and eats it. And on sudden death, if you get hit, you’re KO’d. Block and try to hit him off the bike.

16. Bowser’s Drop Kick and Ground Pound

Bowser’s side A is him doing a heavy drop kick and his down B is a ground pound. These two moves are usually what players use to get the KO on you. Even when you’re not near them they usually charge his forward smash just to try to hit you. And even with his ground pound, they try to hit you with it. Gets very routine. Block his drop kick and punish, but don’t block his ground pound cause your shield will break. Just get outta of the way and punish.

15. Pikachu’s Thunder Jolt

Pika-chuu. Pika-chuu. Pika-chuu. That’s what you will hear a lot when facing off against a Pikachu. It’s his neutral B attack in which the user uses this attack many times. The user tries to zone you with this attack to rack up your damage. With Pikachu always letting a cry with this attack, it can be quite annoying. Just block.

14. Charizard’s Flare Blitz

Charizard’s side B attack is him charging at the player covered in flames. When this hits, you get hit pretty far away. While the user does get 10% damage to them, it can get pretty boring to see this attack again and again. Block and try to punish or spot dodge so he can fly through and will probably offstage in which you can try to KO him.

13. Ness’s PK Fire and Thunder

Ness’s Side B is PK Fire and his up B is his PK Thunder attack. His PK Fire is an attack that traps you in a fire in which the user usually grabs you throws you and the does forward air attack. He also uses his PK Thunder attack to hit you in the air or to hit himself to launch at you. These two tactics is usually what you’re up against when facing off against a Ness player. Block or reflect, especially PK Fire since it can cause a lot of damage.

12. King Dedede Throwing Gordos

King Dedede’s side B is him throwing Gordos at the opponent. This is usually done away from the opponent in which the Gordos bounce forward against the opponent. If it hits, you get hit into the air. Good thing is that you can hit the Gordos back, but even if the user gets hit by the reflection, they usually just keep doing it. Hit them back, reflect or block.

11. Fox/Falco Shooting Lasers

Fox/Falco’s neutral B is then shooting lasers at you. When Fox uses it, they don’t just do damage while Falco kinda stuns them. Most players use Fox so they rack up ton of damage. This done at the edge of the stage and just spam B to get you heavily damaged. Block.

10. Opponent Uses The Character You Just Beat Them With

Whenever you beat your opponent, sometimes he or she will change their player to the character you just beat them with. This is done to try to beat you at your own main. It’s usually a salty move. Show them who’s the better player.

9. Zelda’s Farore’s Wind

Zelda’s up B is Farore’s Wind in which is a teleport attack. This attack was buffed from Brawl in which where she teleports can knock back an opponent if it hits. Because of the unpredictability of the attack, players usually use this attack to hit the opponents far and try to KO them with it. This attack gets used a lot by Zelda players. I’ve done this attack but only when I know it’s gonna KO. When she starts to teleport, block or move far away and then punish since it has a lot of end lag.

8. Jigglypuff Resting Failures

Jigglypuff’s down B is her deadly Rest attack, if very close and this attack is done, the opponent that was hit is launched. However, on For Glory mode, Jigglypuff players usually miss and are open to be hit since Jiggylpuff is asleep. I’ve fought many Jigglypuffs and only one has landed the Rest attack. It might be a powerful attack but only use it if you know it’s gonna hit. Block and then charge a smash attack to cause a lot of damage or KO.

7. Greninja’s Spike Failures

Greninja’s down A is a plummeting attack that can spike you down if he hits you in the air. Most Greninja’s use this as an edge guard and most fail at it. Due to this failure, the user would end up KOing themselves which can be quite funny, but when it comes down to it, not fun to see over and over again. Laugh your ass off.

6. Robin Rolling and Charging Thunder

Robin’s neutral B attack is his/her Thunder attack in which he/she can charge the attack for a strong attack. When facing off against a Robin, the user usually just stays at the edge and charge Thunder. And then when you approach them, they will roll away and charge Thunder some more. That’s the entire match basically. Read the roll and punish.

5. Villager Launching Lloids and Planting Trees

Villager’s side B attack is him/her launching a Lloid at your direction and the down B is them planting a tree. Players who use Villager will most of time launch a Lloid at you so they can zone you out and keep you away from them, in which they can then plant their tree. After they plant their tree, they will just crouch and wait for you to come to them so they can cut it down on you. After they do this, they repeat this process. Block the lloid or reflect, the same with the tree.

4. Shirtless Shulk Using Back Slash and Counter

When facing off against a Shulk, most likely the user is using the shirtless costume. Not sure why this is done, I just see this a lot. The user then uses a lot of Back Slash which is his side B attack and also his counter, his down B. When sudden death, they will use Counter to KO you, so I suggest grabbing them. Punish his side slash and counter but be careful not to do it early, best to throw him.

3. Marth/Lucina Using Counter

Marth and Lucina has the same move set and their down B is a Counter attack. This move is usually used more with Lucina players than Marth players. When approaching them, they use down B just to counter your attack. Use the exact advice I suggested when facing against Shulk.

2. Using Captain Falcon

The second most used character in For Glory is Captain Falcon. Users usually use his pink outfit or gold one, most likely cause it’s flashy. Players use this character because he has speed and power. Also cause they like to spam Falcon Punch and Falcon Kick. And when they KO you, expect a “Show Me Your Moves” taunt. Try to use moves that don’t have a lot of lag since Captain Falcon is fast. Block his Falcon Kick and punish. Grab him when he starts the Falcon Punch.

1. Using Little Mac

The most used character in For Glory is Little Mac. When playing online, you most likely will face off against a Little Mac. When I first started playing online, the first ten matches, eight of them were Little Macs. I get why they use him, he’s very strong and very fast. They also probably use him cause of his KO punch which can KO you if you get hit by it. Sometimes when facing off against an opponent and you beat their first character, they will change to Little Mac just to try to get a win. And when playing on teams, there are chances that your opponents will both use a Little Mac. Grab him a lot since he has a lot of moves with super armor and keep him offstage.

So there you go, in my opinion, the stereotypical game plays used For Glory in Smash Bros for the Wii U and 3DS. When playing For Glory, have you faced off against players who have done these stereotypical game plays? Are you sick and tired of it like I am? Are there any other stereotypes I missed?

Play-Doh Pokemon: Magikarp

Here we go, another Pokemon made from Play-Doh, this time, it’s Magikarp. This weak red fish was a Pokemon most trainers most likely shrugged off when they first had it. I actually kept it until it evolved and boy was I surprised. It shows you that you shouldn’t judge a Pokemon for what it is now, otherwise you can’t see what it could become, because it could evolve into something quite awesome. “I swear when I evolve, I will kill you all!”

So there you go, another Play-Doh Pokemon. Whenever I have free time, I’ll try to make more, maybe ones from a different generation.

Top 10 Favorite Musical Acts

There is so many musical acts in each genre, but there are ones that you favorite more than another. You wait for announcements on when they will release new albums/songs and begin touring, nothing more satisfying when your favorite artist releases a great song/album and you just can’t help but treasure it. Let’s begin on my top ten favorite musical acts.

10. Kesha While she may be criticized for using too much Auto-tune and only making party songs, Kesha is actually way more than that. She’s a gifted songwriter and an unique artist that really stands out from the crowd. Her party songs are catchy, danceable and unforgettable. Let’s not forget when she digs deep and makes wonderful ballads. Love her or not, you have to admit she’s very talented. Love her!

9. Ciara  A great R&B artist. With breathy vocals that can convey sexy, sassy and sad emotions, Ciara has a very unique underrated voice. Transitioning from R&B crunk to R&B pop, she has really become the most changed for the better R&B diva of the past decade. Ciara is not only a great singer, but also a great performer and dancer, the woman belongs onstage. Making small comebacks, Ciara is one that you can’t ever forget.

8. Dia Frampton  Been a big fan since of her since Meg&Dia. Was rooting and voting for her when she was a contestant on The Voice, and would argue that she should have won. Dia really matured on the show and you can hear it on her album, Red. She has great songwriting skills and a very amazing distinctive voice. When it comes to indie artists, she’s the first one to check out.

7. Kat DeLuna  The under appreciated Dominican dance diva. Been a huge fan since Whine Up scorched the dance floors. With a strong voice, Kat DeLuna is able to make great impressions on songs without needing Auto Tune. Incorporating Caribbean or dancehall sounds, she releases very unique dance jams that you can’t help but get your groove on.

6. Tynisha Keli  With a strong soulful voice, Tynisha exceeds in beautiful ballads and R&B pop songs. Releasing songs in which many listeners are able to relate to, she is a ballad songbird that’s quite a gem. Mostly only famous for her song I Wish You Loved Me, Tynisha unfortunately hasn’t gotten much success in the United States like she has in Japan. She took a 5 year hiatus, but a weeks ago, she released a new song and I’m absolutely excited for more music.

5. Wynter Gordon  First started off as a songwriter and a featured artist, Wynter transitioned into a well established artist. Famous for her dance songs, she moved onto acclaimed experimental pop. Gifted with spectacular songwriting skills and a beautiful singing voice, Wynter makes music that makes you appreciate the lyrics and the vocals. She brings variety to her discography and in my eyes/ears, she’s a true artist that deserves much more love.

4. Nelly Furtado  Love Nelly! Starting off with soft adult contemporary pop to folk pop and then dance pop, Nelly has really evolved as an artist. One of the only few female musical artists to win the Grammy for Best Female Pop Vocal Performance for their debut single. Nelly’s work is well praised for her innovative mixture of various genres and sounds. I love her voice, her creative sounds and songwriting, she’s just absolutely amazing.

3. Mariah Carey  The one and only true diva. Probably the most influential vocal stylist, Mariah’s five octave and melismatic singing has become its own legacy. Having two singles with the most weeks at number one and 18 number ones in all, Mariah is a force to be reckon with. Releasing wonderful songs in the 90’s that still hold today, Mariah is absolutely timeless and wonderful. She’s beautiful, vocally and lyrically gifted, a true artist, she’s Mariah Carey.

2. In This Moment  The only metal band that made the list. Been a huge fan of them since they first debuted. My older brother was watching MTV2’s Headbanger Ball and that’s when I first heard Prayers and automatically loved it. At the time, I didn’t listen to metal at all, but In This Moment opened my ears to a whole new music experience. Maria Brink is such a gifted artist, her lyrics are deep and personal, and her vocals are absolutely spectacular, they leave you in awe. Not afraid to take chances, In This Moment has released songs with no screaming, ballads and dub step influences. I’m gonna keep buying their music regardless on what they do, I been a fan for a decade already and I still will be.

1. Kylie Minogue  The Goddess of Pop! Was first a fan when I saw her perform at the Olympics, her spectacular Dancing Queen cover is the best Olympic performance. If you visited my blog, you might have seen I posted top favorite lists about her, from her fashion moments, to her music videos and live performances. She really is my all time favorite musical artist. With unforgettable fashion moments, spectacular live shows, outstanding albums and amazing songs, Kylie is a true pop icon. Music isn’t the only I love about her, it’s her strength as well. When she first started, she was seen only as a pop tart (The Singing Budgie) which isn’t the best thing to be called, but she didn’t let that bring her down. She kept making music, she mutated through the 90’s by writing her own songs and experimenting with different genres, and when it seemed like her career was over, she went back to her dance pop roots and made a spectacular comeback. The time she really showed her strength is of course when she bravely fought breast cancer. It’s still heartbreaking that a beautiful person like Kylie had an life threatening illness, but it’s an inspiration that she beat it. It’s now been 28 years since she’s been in the music business and she is still relevant, something critics said she couldn’t achieve. Kylie is one of the best pop stars out there.

Yeah I know my favorites on this list are all women, but that’s just how it is. Who are your favorite musical acts? Comment below.

My Ten Male Celebrity Crushes

Celebrity crushes, we all have one. We crush on celebrities cause of their physical appearance, sense of humor, intelligence, personality or whatever else. It’s great to have celebrity crushes cause fantasies are healthy and fun. These ten male celebrities I crush on are ones that get my attention and I have a heavy infatuation with them.

10. Thomas Lennon  One thing I love in a man is a sense of humor and this guy has it, he’s very hilarious. He has appeared in many movies in a cameo or supporting role and evertime I see him, I smile and laugh cause how cute he is. He’s very cute and lovable. Dad jokes seem to be his specialty and that’s just endearing. And come one, he looks pretty hot as Lieutenant Jim Dangle.

9. Colton Haynes  When you have your first dream guy, most likely he would look like Colton Haynes. He first began his career as a young model (no surprise there) then successfully transitioned into a TV star (getting his breakthrough on MTV’s Teen Wolf). With a handsome face and a hot bod, he’s a total heartthrob that you can’t help but have a crush on.

8. Ian Ziering  I first caught eye of this hunk when I watched Tyrannosaurus Azteca (a crappy Syfy film). What caught me were his blue eyes and ruggedly handsome face, I just had to look him up. I actually then watched Beverly Hills, 90210 just to see him when he was younger and to to experience how a real crush would be. At even in his 50’s, he is absolutely hot and eye catching.

7. John Mulaney  Man, this guy is absolutely cute. He’s very funny as well (big bonus points there). While his show, Mulaney wasn’t the best out there, I stuck around to see him and have a few laughs. Just seeing a picture of him, I can’t help but smile, it’s the good hearted appeal he has. Just look at him, how can you not have a crush on this guy.

6. Alexander Skarsgärd  This Swedish hunk is just absolutely hot. With beautiful hair and mysterious eyes, his sexiness is off the charts. When I first saw him in True Blood, I wasn’t prepared to be enthralled, just so sexy. And when he did the gay scene, I was overheated and had to take a cold shower. Eric Northman can sink his teeth in me.

5. Anthony Jeselnik  I love me some comedians, especially ones that go all out and don’t give no shits about controversy. I first saw him on The Roast of Donald Trump in which he performed a great hilarious set. I’ve been a huge fan ever since. I automatically developed a crush on him when I saw him and performed his first joke. Of all the men I’ve seen, he has the sexiest smirk.

4. Kellan Lutz  Aw man, this guy just gets me aroused. His golden hair and muscles are just beautiful. I first saw him in HBO’s The Comeback and had a crush on him ever since. Gotta talk about his Calvin Klein ad, the only word I have for it, is YUM! Those boxer briefs look incredible on him. My mouth still drools when I see one of those pics. Hollywood’s Adonis.

3. Alan Tudyk  Look at him, how can you not have a crush on him? From roles like Steve the Pirate (Dodgeball) to Sonny the Robot (I, Robot) to Wash (Firefly/Serenity) and Tucker (Tucker and Dale Vs Evil), the man has a wide range of acting roles. The first movie I saw him in was Dodgeball and had a crush on him ever since. Screw Jack Sparrow, Steve the Pirate is the one for me. Gotta say, I would have wanted a car wash from him, he looked pretty sexy. I enjoyed him very much in Firefly/Serenity, his character was very good hearted and was extremely like able. Definitely one of his best roles. From the ginger hair, pretty blue eyes and finally to his humor, I just love him.

2. Josh Hutcherson  First developed a crush on this handsome guy she I saw Bridge to Terabithia. He showed so much incredible acting talent that really intrigued me. Since I saw that film I’ve been a fan and I gotta say, he just keeps getting better. People always choose Gale over Peeta, but I don’t see the appeal of Liam Hemsworth (he dated Miley Cyrus, like really?). What makes Josh more crushable to me is his LGBT alliance and not believing in being limited by labels. That kind of view in his sexuality makes him more human and likable. I have a deep infatuation with this very talented actor, as well as a LGBT ally. Will be having a crush on Josh for a long time.

1. Ryan Phillippe My ultimate male celebrity crush. Was infatuated with Ryan when I saw Cruel Intentions at the age of 13, that’s when I realized I was attracted to guys. I just couldn’t stop thinking of how dreamy he is. Those golden curls, luscious lips and bad boy persona was too hot. The next movie I saw of his was 54, the Santa outfit, that’s when I had my first fantasy of him. I’ve enjoyed more of his films and he has become one of my favorite actors, not only cause how hot he is, but also cause he is a pretty diverse actor. He’s the man that sparked my sexual awakening towards men. I really think he looks better now than he was younger, he has aged beautifully. Ryan was my first male celebrity crush and will always be my ultimate one.

There you go, my ten male celebrity crushes. Who are yours? Comment below
